Helsebemanning AS is a Norwegian-owned company with headquarters in Lillehammer and branch offices in Oslo, Uppsala, Karlskrona, Stockholm, Borlänge and Málaga (Spain).

Since its inception in 2010, Helsebemanning has staffed healthcare facilities with nurses and physicians (part-time, full-time, temporary or locum tenens) in most specialties in both Sweden and Norway. Since January 2020, we have also recruited and staffed audiologists.

Helsebemanning wants to operate a business where our commitment makes a difference and where you as a professional health staff and our customers will feel optimally treated. Good communication and reliability are keywords for us.

When you work as a health staff consultant, you work on behalf of Helsebemanning. We usually get assignments through framework agreements with customers who place their orders to us. The content of your job is defined by the contract we have with the care provider (client) and may vary slightly depending on the location and type of assignment. Your closest superior is one of our consulting managers, who will guide you all the way from the moment you register your interest in a job until the assignment is extended or terminated. Most commonly, you are given a new assignment before you finish the current one so that you can plan your near future in advance.

Working as a freelance consultant gives you the freedom to choose when, how much and where you work, but it requires you to be confident in your position as a doctor or nurse, have experience and be very flexible. Some want to work as a freelance consultant to try out jobs in different parts of Sweden or Norway, while others prefer assignments in the same destination. As a consultant, you can work through your own company where you are paid by invoice or as an employee with a salary.

Working with us is a great way to try out life as a freelance consultant. You can choose short or long term assignments and you don't have to commit for a long period if you're not sure if this is really suitable for you.

The consultant manager you will be working with is a very experienced person who has worked in staffing for a long time. You will be given help with work, travel and accommodation if you wish.

Once you have carried out your assignment according to the contract you have with us, you will also have built up your CV with work experience and credentials. We will contact the workplace where you have been and follow up on how it has worked. Most of our customers are happy to hear about your experience with them and if you can suggest any possible improvements or just give them compliments.

Most often, our freelance consultants wish to have the next assignment before they finish the current one and continuity is something we cherish. It's our job to find assignments that suit you so you feel reassured about your future.

No, you don't have to. There are part-time and full-time assignments, shorter and longer periods both in Norway, Sweden and Spain, ranging from single weeks to full-year assignments. You can determine how much you want to work.
